Kildale Show
Our History
Kildale Show is an agricultural event held in the picturesque North Yorkshire village of Kildale. The village is situated amongst the backdrop of the North York Moors National Park and on the Cleveland Way National Trail.
Just one and a half miles away from Kildale lies Captain Cook’s Monument which was erected in 1827 in memory of the circumnavigator, Captain James Cook. The show was first held in 1881 and over 130 years later is still going strong led by a dedicated committee and volunteers.
The Show is held annually on the first Saturday in September and as with any public agricultural show the format includes exhibitions of the animals, equipment, sports and recreation associated with agriculture and animal husbandry.
Judged events are held for best livestock, vegetables and produce such as flowers, handicrafts, photography and baking. Also on offer throughout the day are numerous craft stalls, trade stands and refreshments.
